This Proposal will impact many areas of Canada’s social and economic life. These include:

  • Location: one of the primary purposes of this Proposal is to confirm and radically enhance national sovereignty in Canada’s north.

  • Structure: A traditional strength is building Canada’s infrastructure. This Proposal will require research, development, and implementation of large-scale infrastructure.

  • Energy: The CANDU nuclear power system is a world leader in base-load energy production. Under this Proposal, it would be developed further to supply all energy requirements.

  • Food: To ensure self-sufficiency and manageable costs, local food production is a basic requirement. This will build on Canada’s existing areas of expertise in efficient agricultural production.

  • Transportation: This Proposal assumes that existing expertise in aeronautical engineering will be leveraged to provide low-cost, efficient bulk transportation between Inunnguat cities and existing transportation hubs.

  • First Nations and Inuit: This Proposal provides the opportunity for a new beginning in the relationships between Canada's various internal cultures and heritages. It can provide a model for a positive future for all the world and beyond.

  • Employment: Apart from initial infrastructural work, an ongoing healthy economy requires that the populace have rewarding work.

  • Environment: This Proposal assumes that the Inunnguat cities will have little or no impact on the surrounding environment. Building the supporting expertise will have significant long-term benefit to Canada and the world.

  • Science and Technology: Basic technological development will be required in multiple areas, from high-strength materials, to closed-loop environmental systems, to efficient food production, to new transportation capabilities, and many other areas. These projects will reinvigorate Canada’s Science and Technology sectors.
