Being recommended by Terry Fallis!!!
Well that was a major, and pleasant, surprise! Terry Fallis, my favourite non-SF writer (although in some passages I see potential…) just recommended this personal project as “Interesting, sometimes funny, eclectic, and well-written.” That’s praise of the first order.
I guess that means I should post more often.
I’ve been writing for one target or another most of my adult life. Very little of it has seen the light of public scrutiny. It’s not through lack of intent, more through lack of proper priorities. There are so many subjects that I think would make good essays, stories, or even novels. With that embarrassment of options, the end result all too often is - nothing.
OK Terry, implied challenge accepted. I will put aside some time each day to transfer my thoughts to keyboard and screen. Some will appear here, some on Mastodon, some on Kobo, but not likely anything on Amazon. The reasons behind those choices will make fine subjects for future posts, I’m sure.
Unlike in “Life of Brian”, this hand grenade did go off, and hopefully will blast me out of my comfortable complacency. And besides, one of my resolutions this year is to “Always look on the bright side of life!”
