This 👇 is a transcript of a crucial section of Dr. Fauci’s testimony. He made clear what he and his team achieved for the American people during the pandemic. He also made clear that he didn’t cover up the search for the origin of the Covid virus, despite MAGA’s claims.

How anyone can disbelieve and insult this hero is beyond my understanding:

For two decades prior to Covid we had investigated invested billions of dollars in technology and design, both of which led to the swift development of Covid vaccines. Lessthan 11 months after the identification of this new virus, safe and highly effective were widely available, an unprecedented accomplishment in the history of vaccincology that save tens of millions of lives.

I now quote from an email I sent to a professor on February 1, 2020. ‘Jeremy, I just got off the phone with Christian Anderson and related his concern about the site mutation and the spike protein of the virus. I told him that as soon as possible, he and Eddie should get a group of evolutionary biologist together to carefully examine the data to determine if his concerns were validated, and they should be reported to the appropriate authorities, I would imagine that in the USA this would be the FBI and in the Uk would be the NCA. In the meantime I will alert my US government official colleagues of my conversation with you and Christian and determine what further investigation they recommend. Let us stay in touch.’

It is inconceivable that anyone who reads this email could conclude that I was trying to cover up the possibility of a lab leak.”

Choking up, Dr. Fauci also detailed how GOP conspiracy theories still cause him and his family, including his 3 daughters. They are flooded with death threats and harassment.

During this hearing, the delusional, uncouth attack dog, Marjorie Taylor Greene, attacked and threatened this Dr. Fauci, even refusing to call him doctor.

Dem Rep. Robert Garcia called the Republican attacks on Dr. Fauci “ridiculous,” and said, “this might be the most insane hearing I’ve attended.” He was right.

And Dem Rep. Jamie Raskin absolutely slammed MAGA. “They are treating you like a convicted felon,” Raskin said. “Actually, you probably wish they were treating you like a convicted felon. They treat convicted felons with love and admiration. Some of them blindly worship convicted felons.”

With the corrupt incumbent Senator Bob Menendez indicted and on trial (though running for the Senate as an Independent) Andy Kim has a strong chance of winning the 2nd Senate seat in New Jersey.

He easily defeating two primary opponents yesterday.

News from Axios- Rob Menendez enjoyed establishment support again this year in both New Jersey and Washington, D.C., where top House Democrats including Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) held a fundraiser for him last month.But [Hoboken Mayor Ravi] Bhalli managed to out-raise him, bringing in just over $2 million to $1.6 million raised by Rob Menendez, according to the Federal Election.

The usually moderate and quiet Attorney General fought back.

Attorney General Merrick Garland slams attacks on the Justice Department, telling lawmakers, “I will not be intimidated.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Merrick Garland rebuked Republicans Tuesday for what he described as unprecedented attacks on the Justice Department, telling lawmakers who have sought to hold him in contempt that he will “not be intimidated.”

Appearing before a House panel led by allies of Donald Trump, Garland condemned as a “conspiracy theory” the claim that the department was behind the New York state court prosecution that led to the former Republican president’s conviction last week on 34 felony charges. And Garland slammed other “baseless and extremely dangerous falsehoods” being spread about law enforcement.

His unusually fiery testimony amounted to a forceful defense of the independence and integrity of the Justice Department at an unprecedented moment in which it is prosecuting both Trump and President Joe Biden’s son. Amid an onslaught by Trump and his Republican allies, Garland said his agency will not be deterred in its commitment to uphold the rule of law. (Associated Press).

Why Americans are buying European sunscreen.

A growing number of Americans are questioning the safety and efficacy of U.S. sunscreens — and they have reason to be concerned.

Why it matters: Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the country, and protection against sun damage is key to reducing risk.

The big picture: Compared to the U.S., Europe has more approved active sunscreen ingredients, says Henry Lim, dermatologist at Henry Ford Health in Detroit and former president of the American Academy of Dermatology.

• Sunscreens should have broad spectrum protection, which means they protect against both UVA rays (often associated with skin cancer and skin aging) and UVB exposure (responsible for sunburn).

Zoom in: The sunscreens in Europe currently offer better protection from UVA radiation compared to those in the U.S. because of better testing methods, Lim says.

• The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has proposed new sunscreen regulation changes.

What they're saying: "Based on currently available data, it's safe to continue to use organic [chemical] sunscreen and mineral sunscreen" that's approved by the FDA, Lim says.

Yes, but: New FDA research shows that some active ingredients in U.S. sunscreens get absorbed into the bloodstream.

• "But does it truly mean that it is harmful? That data is very controversial at the moment," Lim says.

Between the lines: Europe, Australia and much of Asia treat sunscreen as a cosmetic, while the FDA regulates it as an over-the-counter drug, which requires more time to evaluate.

• The FDA hasn't approved a new UV filter for sunscreen in more than 20 years.

• Newer sunscreen ingredients available elsewhere include bemotrizinol, bisoctrizole, DHHB and octyl triazone — filters more efficient at absorbing UV rays and less likely to penetrate skin or cause allergic reactions than U.S.-approved ones, says cosmetic chemist Michelle Wong, who lives in Australia.

  What we're watching: American sunscreens may be starting to catch up. Bemotrizinol could be approved by the FDA "hopefully" this year, Lim says.

  • FDA spokesperson Cherie Duvall-Jones says, "While one manufacturer is working with the FDA to generate the requested data for bemotrizinol," the agency can't discuss the drug's status.

• There hasn't been data submitted for the evaluation of other active sunscreen ingredients. (Axios).
