Virginia

We can win the Governorship and strengthen Democratic control in the State House and Senate.

 Abigail Spanberger

Governor: Abigail Spanberger (D) vs. Winsome Earle-Sears (R). Polling shows Spanberger ahead.

Lieutenant Governor: Ghazala Hashmi (D) vs. John Reid (R). Considered the closest of the three statewide races.

Attorney General: Incumbent Jason Miyares (R) vs. Jay Jones (D). Polls indicate a tight race.

Obama stepped up for Abby Spanberger for Governor of Virginia.

New Jersey.

Obama campaigned for Mikie Sherrill for Governor too.

California.

California, tomorrow (Tuesday, November 4 2025) voters are participating in a statewide special election that centers on one major ballot measure — Proposition 50.

Here’s what’s at stake and why it matters:

⸻

✅ The Measure
• Proposition 50 would approve temporary changes to how California’s congressional district maps are drawn, suspending the independent citizens-commission model for a time, and placing a new map into effect through ~2030.
• The stated purpose: to counter redistricting efforts in other states (especially Texas) which Republicans say are designed to gain more seats in the U.S. House. California Democrats argue they must act to protect their representation.

⸻

🎯 Why It Matters
• If approved, the new map could flip up to five congressional seats in California from Republican to Democratic‐leaning districts. That has national implications for control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 mid-term elections.

From Coast to Coast,
California and Virginia
