Joe is always busy.
Tuberville, Senator of Alabama, evidences the hypocrisy we see from multiple GOP officials. They vote against the President’s policies. Then, they claim credit for them.
GOP Sen. Tuberville Touts Broadband Funding Despite Voting Against It
The Biden administration announced Monday that Alabama will get $1.4 billion in broadband funding.
Sen. Tommy Tuberville celebrated the news, calling the funding "crucial" for rural broadband.
But he voted against the 2021 infrastructure bill that established the program he's now touting. (Axios)
As ever, POTUS welcomes a Republican, hypocritical though the Republican may be. 👇
Holy shit. President Biden just called out Sen. Tommy Tuberville directly during his speech in Chicago right now. He literally read Sen. Tuberville's Tweet, trying to take credit for his broadband expansion program, which he voted against. DARK BRANDON HAS RISEN.

Touch to watch the President. 👇
.@POTUS: "To no one's surprise," Bidenomics is bringing "along some converts." @SenTuberville "strongly opposed the legislation. Now he's hailing its passage. Here's what he said, quote, "It's great to see Alabama receive critical funds to boost ongoing broadband efforts!" pic.twitter.com/hXpL2Ddj1e

One more hypocritical GOP Senator and a hypocritical GOP Congresswoman too.
And you voted against it, @JohnCornyn. pic.twitter.com/ArdVAPnj5a

Nancy Mace not only voted no on President Biden's bipartisan Infrastructure bill, she also publicly criticized it, calling it 'absurd.' Today, she took credit for $26M in CARTA funding that came from the very bill she opposed: pic.twitter.com/toOAUcih7c

Smoke from wildfires in eastern Canada has returned, and is affecting areas across the Commonwealth. People particularly sensitive to poor air quality — like children, seniors, and folks with respiratory issues — should consider limiting their time outside today.

Canadian Wildfire Smoke Could Reach the City on Thursday - West Side Rag.
A new wave of smoke from wildfires burning in Canada is expected to reach New York City on Thursday, said Gov. Kathy Hochul at a press conference on Tuesday. “We’re anticipating the smoke and haze to come all across the state,” Hochul said. “By Thursday, you’re going to see the smoke affecting New Yorkers here in the city as well.”
As of Wednesday morning, June 28, according to the New York State Department of Environmental Protection, the air quality index (AQI) in the city was 55, which is considerated “moderate.” A score of 50 or below is considered “good” air quality.
During the last bout of smoke in early June, the AQI in New York City reached 218, making it temporarily the worst major city in the world in terms of air pollution.

Antisemitism is now a recognized and recurring problem in America, even affecting New York’s Broadway shows.
Broadway Responds to Antisemitism at Museum of Jewish Heritage.
Earlier in the year, Ben Platt, who would later win a Tony for his performance on Broadway in Jason Robert Brown’s “Parade,” found himself facing protesters spreading 'anti-Semitic rhetoric' outside the musical's previews.
Platt plays Leo Frank, a Jewish man who was convicted of the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan amid a growing wave of anti-Semitism in Georgia in 1915. Frank was kidnapped from prison and lynched.

An alarming trend continues as reports of brutal acts of hate, hate speech and white supremacy continue to rise across the globe. In March 2023, the Anti-Defamation League released a new report revealing antisemitic incidents increased 36% in 2022, the highest level recorded since 1979. To discuss how Broadway is addressing this perilous time, ALL ARTS joined Exploring Hate and Moment Magazine to present “Broadway Responds to Antisemitism,” a panel discussion taped live May 22 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
Now streaming on the ALL ARTS site and app as part of the series “House Seats,” the panel delves into the rise of antisemitism and Broadway’s response through recent and current productions, including “Parade,” “Leopoldstadt,” “Prayer for the French Republic,” “Harmony,” “Camp Siegfried” and “Funny Girl.”
The discussion features panelists include Tovah Feldshuh, the first Jewish actress to play Mrs. Rosie Brice in “Funny Girl”; renowned lyricist Bruce Sussman (“Harmony”); award-winning playwright Alfred Uhry (“Parade”) and moderator Lynne Marie Rosenberg, host of ALL ARTS’ “Famous Cast Words.”
