Last night, the Jewish Holy Day, Yom Kippur, began.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the Jewish New Year. It is the culmination of the Days of Awe that begin with Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah celebrates the creation of the world and starts a New Year, which brings us the opportunity to begin again.
L'shanah tovah, "a good New Year,” to all.
An easy and meaningful fast to all who observe and a good weekend to us all.
See you on Monday.
