Q: How important do you think Trump's conviction should be in this race for president?

President Biden: That's for the public to decide. But one thing for certain is to stop undermining the rule of law. Stop undermining the institutions. That's what Trump’s whole effort is. He's… pic.twitter.com/GhmMSFhFLH

“I don’t think I was a hero. I was just like everybody else. We were all in this together.” D-Day veteran Jake Larson is adamant that his bravery 80 years ago was not exceptional: “The heroes are up there. They gave their life, so that I could make it.” pic.twitter.com/gID1vnCgX4

Sanity strikes at Citibank.
Fathers need paid leave too.
This week Citigroup Inc. announced that it would double the paid leave it offers new parents — from eight to 16 weeks — with an additional eight weeks available to mothers who physically give birth. This move comes six years after Citi’s last paid leave overhaul, in 2018, when those eight week offerings were first put in place.
Before 2018, things were bleaker for new parents at Citi, especially fathers and other “secondary caregivers,” who were given a mere two weeks off. The expanded leave policy brings Citi in line with or closer to rivals like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, who’ve had similar, if not better, policies in place for years.

Trump claims to be welcoming jail time, but his cultists don’t want to go.
Recently, Trumper Peter Navarro, found guilty for Contempt of Congress, fought like hell to avoid prison. He is now in jail. Following the same script, Steve Bannon, who has appealed and appealed in order to avoid imprisonment, seems jail-bound on July 1.
Steve Bannon ordered to prison while he challenges his conviction for defying Jan. 6 committee.
U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee, had previously paused Bannon’s four-month sentence while he appealed his conviction.
A federal judge has ordered Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of former President Donald Trump, to report to prison by July 1 for his conviction for defying a subpoena from the Jan. 6 committee.
U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee, previously paused Bannon’s four-month sentence while he appealed his conviction. But on Thursday, Nichols ruled that the original reasons for the postponement no longer apply because a D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled strongly and unanimously last month against Bannon’s position (Politico)
Steve Bannon — after a federal judge ordered him to report to prison by July 1: "This is about shutting down the MAGA movement... There's not a prison built or a jail built that will ever shut me up.”

Your daily reminder.
Trump is still a felon.
