Yesterday, at Union Station in Washington, D.C. we saw despicable acts by unpatriotic protestors and dangerous hate-fueled rhetoric.

I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews. Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation.

I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way.

I support the right to peacefully protest, but let’s be clear: Antisemitism, hate and violence of any kind have no place in our nation.

Vice President Kamala Harris equated strong unions with a strong America while addressing the American Federation of Teachers, and drew a contrast with Republicans: “We want to ban assault weapons and they want to ban books.”

On Thursday, actor Jennifer Aniston called out Vance for his disturbing 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson in which he attacked “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made. So, they want to make the rest of the country miserable too. And it’s just a basic fact. If you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?”

Aniston wrote on Instagram. “All I can say is . . . Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.
