For our daily Angel Registry report, we just expanded our process to pull and analyze every single Form D filing from the SEC.
Yesterday (March 24), 233 companies filed to raise money. This is a firehose of data on who is in the market for capital, from tech startups to real estate funds.
We also tracked the public announcements and found 20+ tech/AI deals, including a massive $100M seed round for Hark (from the founder of Figure AI) and rounds backed by AI pioneer Dr. Fei-Fei Li.
The key learning from the Form D data: you can see company names, locations, and offering amounts, but not the names of the individual investors (just the execs/directors). Still, it is an incredible source for finding companies that are actively raising but have not been announced in the tech press.
