Great Sky ($14M Seed)
Boulder-based Great Sky is developing a novel brain-inspired computing architecture using superconducting optoelectronics. Their SOEN technology claims to process video over a million times faster than conventional GPUs, targeting defense and large-scale AI infrastructure. The round was led by Bison Ventures and includes notable angels Mark Leslie and Adam Pritzker.
Standard Kernel ($20M Seed)
Out of Palo Alto, Standard Kernel is using AI to automatically generate highly optimized GPU software. The company claims its AI can write code that outperforms NVIDIA's own libraries, delivering up to 4x speedups on H100 GPUs. The impressive seed round was led by Jump Capital and features Google's AI chief Jeff Dean as an angel investor.
Halcyon ($21M Series A)
San Francisco's Halcyon raised a substantial Series A to build its AI-powered intelligence platform for the energy sector. Led by Energize Capital, the company aims to make complex energy data discoverable and actionable for developers, utilities, and financial firms navigating the global energy transition.
AgentMail ($6M Seed)
YC-backed AgentMail is building email infrastructure specifically for AI agents. The San Francisco startup provides an API-first platform for programmatically creating and managing email accounts for bots, a critical missing piece for agent-to-agent communication and workflow automation. The round, led by General Catalyst, includes a roster of top-tier developer-focused angel investors like Paul Graham, Dharmesh Shah, and the founders of Supabase and Ramp.
