Truro Part 1
Phew, I'm on vacation and I'm exhausted. This newsletter will be short on words, heavy on images.
On Thursday I drove out to Jagolinzer Preserve in Limington, Maine to shoot some portraits by a waterfall. I was excited for it, and was really excited for my trip out to Cape Cod a few days later. Maybe I was a little distracted but almost immediately after getting to the waterfall I slipped and BUSTED my ass. My tailbone crunched. It hurt. I don't know how bad the damage was, you can't really do much for a tailbone injury so I'm not rushing to go to the doctor over it. It definitely left me shook but I was pleased with how the shoot went despite the fact that I was definitely not in the moment at all, distracted by butt pain and fearing that it might complicate my trip.
I had a day off to rest my bruised butt and then Saturday I picked up my rental car and then shot a very chill wedding celebration in Portsmouth.
Then Sunday morning I headed out to the cape. I'm staying in Truro, which is the second to last town on Cape Cod, before Provincetown. Highlights include some epic sunsets, finding some holy grail-rare photobooks at Tim's Used Books in P-Town, and seeing some cute grey seals. I don't have pictures of any of that but I have been shooting non-stop on this trip. Learning a lot, making a lot of pictures. Here are some things I've been working on.
Things I'm looking forward to include - actually having a nice dinner at some point, photographing some lady and her horses tomorrow, and sleeping in past 6:30am. I leave Friday afternoon and shoot another wedding in Falmouth on Satuday. Lot's of living happening right now.
