Newsletter #2 Get Your Flu Shot!
Holographic pinwheel in the bushes, Wells, Maine
All of my grand plans for newsletter #2 were derailed when I caught Influenza A from my daughter. She was laid out for a week and half. I had a couple of rough days but I'm already on the mend. Unsurprisingly, my superhero wife was smart enough to get a flu shot this year so she wasn't stricken with it. No side quests or deep dives for me this week, I had to keep it close to home. It's probably for the best, wedding season kicks into full gear next week, so it was nice to get a week of rest.

My biggest excitement was going to check out some big waves at the beach. Pretty dramatic.
Still not many tourists during the week.

A stranger with some driftwood she's rightfully proud of. (Pro tip - don't let your subject's head interfere with the horizon line. Posting this photo makes me queasy.
In case you were curious as to what this week's newsletter was going to be about, it was going to be a deep investigation into the problem of Bittersweet, an invasive vine that seems to be everywhere around here. I took one single photo for that project.
Maybe I will continue with that project. It's a pretty photogenic invasive vine, I must say. On the way home from taking this picture I noticed that our neighbor, an off-roading supply store was giving away all of their trophies. A bunch of lonely trophies on the side of the road are almost as photogenic as an aggressive invasive vine choking the life out of once flourishing tree or bush.
I didn't take any.
So that's where my head is at. The local, the mundane. The rest of this month consists of three weddings, two engagement sessions, and photographing The Hillside Boarding School Graduation Ceremony in Marlboro, Massachusetts. There should be some good adventures in there.
Again, get your flu shot. If you get the flu take some zinc and vitamin c supplements. It'll help. I'll leave you with some older shots of my little flu-troopers. Thank you for reading.
