Little New Hampshire Trip

On Saturday I had maternity shoot booked in Manchester and I tried to leave extra early to get explore a bit and maybe get some photos along the way. The problem was that the weather was pretty yucky and it was hard to find inspiration. I have a (mostly useless) app on my phone called Pixeo that maps out notable photographable locations. It is a cool app in theory, and maybe it's helpful in other parts of the world but if you search any town in New England it will recommend the most generic looking bank building that is only notable because it's 90 years old and then a busted stone fence you have to hike 12 miles to get to. I've never felt compelled to seek out anything from the app until I saw that (one of) Robert Frost's farm houses is right outside of Manchester in Derry.
I got some shots of it on the RB67 (I remembered to take out the dark slide this time), including the cool, moody, light leak you see above.

Then I headed to the actual shoot, which was at Massabesic Lake. The wind off the lake was INTENSE. It felt colder than many of the shoots I did in the dead of winter. I felt terrible for the momma-to-be, 8 months pregnant, already uncomfortable and had to endure the cold. She was a trooper though and things went fine.

This weekend I have my FIRST WEDDING OF THE YEAR. I'm pretty stoked for it. I miss the razzle dazzle! Also NEW GEAR. I'll have lots to talk about next week.
