Breaking The Rules
On Saturday I shot Laura and Kevin's wedding. They are the couple from last week who I referred to as "impish" because they flat out refused to any traditional engagement poses and would literally run away and climb to the top of a waterfall or wade across a stream if I suggested anything "boring." Their wedding was exactly as you would expect it. Not boring, not adhering to most wedding traditions. No bridesmaids or groomsmen, no set timeline, no formal sit-down dinner, no dj, no bouquet toss. They did have a human-sized, inflatable fooseball game though. They gave out temporary tattoos of their dog. They had both a taco truck AND a gelato truck. Their friends set up a surprise choreographed Spice Girls dance. They had a big tent set up with picnic blankets and dozens of pillows for anyone - but mostly exhausted babies and parents to nap on. I don't throw this term around lightly, but these guys are the perfect clients. Thoughtful, creative, adventurous, and bold. I love shooting small, relaxed weddings, and I enjoy working with shy or reserved couples, but Laura and Kevin are my ideal client. I'll be lucky if I get to work with more clients like them in the future. Not much more to say about it. Just gonna post the pictures.
