Ramping Into 2026
It’s already March, and it’s been a disorienting year so far, even aside from the onslaught of world events. Last week was the coldest that Las Vegas has seen all winter, and this week is warming up quickly, so the 90+ degrees todays can’t be too far off now.
This year feels hot-and-cold in other ways too. It’s easy for the first few weeks to flash by in a new year activities that then segue into a second round of Lunar New Year celebrations, and then all of a sudden 2026 is solidly underway, and I’m already looking at what I can get done this year, and what might be more realistic to schedule for 2027.
A few of the things I’m working on now definitely won’t see the light of day until next year, which I suppose is just how it goes with media. It’s a lot to juggle, but I’m definitely grateful to get these opportunities to work on exciting projects, and manage my own projects too.
In the coming months, I’ll delve deeper into my thoughts on the highs and lows of writing, but for now, here’s a couple of more concrete updates about what’s next for me.
Upcoming Releases

I have a short comic coming out in next month’s issue of Cruel Universe, drawn by David Lapham and Jão Canola. It’s my first credit in the direct market, and I got to write a fun story about the perils of mistreating your neighbors in cozy life sim video games.
If you’re interested in picking up a copy, this is the last week that you can preorder it at comic shops! You can probably find it in stores on April 1 too, though that will be a little less reliable.

Dr. Mouri and I are also getting ready to release Chapter 7 of our manga, My Internet Friends. This will wrap up the first arc of the story, and lead into some announcements about the future of the series!
The whole series is free to read online!
Convention Plans
I’ll be attending Emerald City Comic Con in just under a week! It will be my first time traveling to Seattle, and I’m looking forward to exploring the city.
This was also my first time getting approved for a pro badge for a convention!

I’ll also be tabling at Anime Las Vegas a couple weeks later, from March 21-22. This year, I probably won’t table as often as I did last year (not that I tabled that much last year either) but it’s a good way to get out of the house and be social every now and then.
