Some of you may have noticed that I’m mostly not on social media anymore. I did it because I got tired of having anti-trans grifters shoved down my throat every day by the algorithm (yes, I marked them as things I didn’t want to see — they just showed up more). It’s nice and peaceful without social media, and I get a lot more writing done. I’ve also started taking a class that’s teaching me how to create abstract watercolors & collage.

Besides my absence from social media, everything’s been a bit hectic. I’m teaching four classes this fall: Craft of Prose, Business of Publishing, Intro to Literature & a corequisite seminar at the local community college. It’s a lot, but I do love the work. I had come to hate kitchens by the time I finally left them.

I busted my neck somehow about a month ago, and have been dealing with that ever since. The doctors think it’s a pinched nerve and say there’s nothing they can really do about it. Turns out, I hate doctors!
