TIME
In February two of my kids had birthdays. They will have completed 36 and 34 spins around the sun.
At the end of last year I fulfilled my 73 spins around Helios, aiming for 80. Atop the bombardment of health issues there’s this time of year — grey, cold — which doesn’t help with mental health.
Writing has stalled, new art seems inconsequential, and my species is making sure to keep my misanthropy in place.
THEATER
Appropriately we saw a stage reading of Molière’s “The Misanthrope”, starring Peter Sarsgaard at L’Alliance New York.]

BOOKS
I just finished the 250th books since I moved back to NYC in 2010. Some slim volumes of poetry, many thick tomes.
I thank the shift largely to the time I had spent being in a f’n car all the time in Vermont — to getting many hours a week of reading time on public transportation.
