His Bobness and the Truthteller
Happy completion of 83 spins around the sun to Bob Dylan.
I am very grateful that his amazing work has coincided with my visit to the planet.
I have followed his creations over the decades and have seen him in concert a half dozen or so times.
A truly gifted one-of-a-kind brilliant artist of the highest order.
In addition of a half century+ of amazing music, words!, song writing, singing . . . .
Have you seen his sculptures?
Have you seen his paintings?
Have you tasted his bourbon?
Forty-one years ago I curated the Bob Dylan Mail Art Exhibition. It was held at Carlo Pittore’s La Galleria dell’Occhio at 267 E. 10th Street, New York City.
Almost 100 artists from around the world sent in works. I produced a limited edition catalog featuring the art.
You can read all about it here . . .

The Bob Dylan Mail Art Show (24 May 1983)
This past Tuesday we went to Marcy Garvey Park, just down the road from where we live in Harlem, for a Cornel West for President 2024 rally.
Guests included jazz singer and songwriter Madeleine Peyroux, political scientist and activist Norman Finkelstein, labor organizer Chris Smalls — known for his role in leading Amazon worker organization in Staten Island, and others.
And then Cornel West spoke. (Video below)
Dear readers — please don’t come to me with the usual fer-riddled cliches around this election.
I’ve said what I have to say about voting a while back — HERE.
And George Carlin summed it up pretty amazingly — HERE.
What I’m talking about here is a voice Speaking Truth to Power!
