About the film . . .
In 1994, at age 43, artist AleXander Hirka adapted his skills of creating visual collages – the putting together of diverse elements to create a new work – to the art of cinema. Tangled in existential mid-life angst, and armed with only two VHS tape machines – utilizing no editing or digital equipment – he put together a 50+ minute eye-circus of moving images. MOIST.
In July 2022 he reconstituted it digitally. MOIST REDUX
