Dont Look Back

Do the work and don't look back at the response.
I usually run with that perspective. But last week I didn't.
And so. Analytics.
I have one hundred and three (103) subscribers.
Sixty-one (61)"opened" the last newsletter email — and then moved on without finding something of interest to click on.
Of those sixty-one, seven (7) clicked on the "musical visualizations" link — and then three (3) sent me a note of appreciation for that.
And then —
Not one (0) chose to click/read my essay.
And so here are this week's offerings.
Starting again with the playful appetizer — hoping some will stay for the main course.
Three humorous musical hors d'oeuvres . . .
I Get Around — The Beach Boys
Start Me Up — The Rolling Stones.
And the band Phish, live.
My latest piece, published on Medium this week.
Sort of a resource for the words and works of some of the people who are and were seeing through the bullshit of this empire.
May it inspire and get you to raise your voice.

The hat is still by the door.
For the moment any contributions will bypass my luxurious lifestyle of frivolity and pleasure and go to the NYU School Of Dentistry, who, along with neurologists, will be excavating inside my head.

A couple quotes from H. L. Mencken . . .
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.”
Of course the voters, be they Republican or Democrat — while pretending that they're not under the thumb of a self-serving duopoly — will think that the below quote pertains to the candidate of the other side — be he The Arrogant Reality TV Show Celebrity or the Proxy War Genocidal Somnabulist.
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”
