Another Spring
SPRING!
“Spring is the time of plans and projects.”― Leo Tolstoy

In November of 2021 I wrote a piece about hoping to live to be 80 — to experience the joy of spring 10 more times.
As a winter that was tough on body and mind begins to exit, Spring Number 7 is whispering it’s way in.

20 years ago I put togerther > “Another Spring” < - a CD music compilation and art. Melancholy and exuberance were in the air and five months later I went to Burning Man for the first time.
BOOKS!
TheBookChemist is a YouTube channel I regularly return to because its creator, Mattia Ravasi, does insightful reviews of intersting books, and his interests in fiction often intersects with mine.
Here is his recent video: Seven Tips On How To Read More.
I thought I’d pass it along in case you are also one of those who can’t ever find enough time redaing.
“The pursuit of truth, not of facts, is the business of fiction.” - Oakley Hall
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.” ― George R.R. Martin
“If you go home with somebody, and they don't have books, don't fuck 'em!”
― John Waters
MUSIC!
“Tuchenn Mikael” (3 versions)
This song in Breton language and its music was composed by the great Breton poet, novelist and singer Youenn Gwernig after a vision he had as he was walking up one of Brittany’s highest hills, on top of which stands the XVII century St Michel’s Chapel.
The original —> Youenn Gwernig - “Tuchenn Mikael”
And here’s the version that brought me to this wonderful song — by Yann Tiersen & TinyFeet (Emilie Quinquis).
And then there’s this lovely version —> by Ensemble Choral du Bout du Monde.
“Remember what the dormouse said — Feed your head!”
