The Long-Distance Roundup
It’s not that nothing’s been going on, and I can’t even say that very little’s been going on. But what I can say is that I have access to less and less, or a lot of stuff’s happening that doesn’t meet the filters and radars I’ve set up. It’s also true that I’m just kinda pulling back from everything, less excited about the future, more into exploring the streaming series I’ve been missing. I’m keeping up with Delicious in Dungeon, getting into Judge Dee Mysteries, and just started Fallout last night. None of these are Size-related, of course.
I will note, however, that the opening credits of season two of Delicious in Dungeon feature the main characters as giants, the characters scrambling haphazardly down the arm of a slumbering giantess, and the tiny characters in a bowl of soup while looking up at gigantic versions of themselves preparing to dig in. I can only hope this is a tease of things to come, but likely not.
Did you all enjoy International Tiny Day on April 7? I didn’t see anyone post anything about it on Bluesky; I have no access to learn whether it was observed on X. I posted some new renders on DeviantArt (Accessible and Cat-and-Mouse) and gained the attention of dozens of monkishly silent lurkers, so in some very small way I’m keeping a teeny-tiny little flame alive.
What else is going on? Oh, things.
The Google Alerts I have set up can’t make interesting stuff materialize online, so if it’s a slow week, sometimes all I see is a list of DeviantArt tags or links to whatever pirated porn website. But once in a while I find something I’d never seen before.
I’m less interested in the sensationalized and heavily parroted articles about this or that adult actress (e.g., Agatha Delicious, Loomy Sinta, Katie Woolls) that The Sun or the New York Post just “discovered” is making scads of money by showing their body parts from forced perspective. Good for them, but it’s not really news to me. It’s just someone else’s turn. News would be if they did something besides stomping on the camera amid personal attacks.
Gigantic Giggling Huntress
I’m more interested in actual creative things, people making things that take you into another reality or that at least require some skill to manufacture. Here’s a video that makes me feel old and irrelevant: It’s a Twitch session with a user named Carniveris, and she says she’s playing “Oni Macrophilia Simulator,” but I really, really feel that’s not actually the name of the game. Mainly because I can’t find any game called that. I have to guess that this is a mod of another game, where one person gets to play as a mythological Japanese giant, and everyone else plays little human dudes scurrying around, trying not to get killed. But because I’m old, I can’t decipher most of what’s being said or referred to, so caveat emptor. Regardless, the game plays on from the oni’s POV and Carniveris merrily narrates the action, so once you latch onto the suspension of disbelief, it’s actually kinda pleasant.
Artists of Big and Small Visions
If you’re aware of the Daz artist FaTerKCX on DeviantArt, then you should also know that they’ve got their own official website (just like we all should!), so please check them out. They do professional-quality work with giant and growing women, including some really exciting video clips. Visit FaTerGD Comics News and Updates.
Along those lines, I was introduced to another dedicated website where someone’s cranking out extended illustrated stories about shrunken people. The only thing that makes me leery about mentioning this is that sometimes adult shrunken people fall into the clutches of capricious teenagers, and I get that that’s a fantasy, but once it starts manifesting in the real world, we have things we need to talk about. With that caveat, look through Asukafan2001’s Smallara gallery.
Shrinking Kids for Education
This next link has nothing prurient about it: it’s as family-friendly as you can get. It’s a clip from season 2 of Jane, an educational kids’ show “inspired by the life and work of Dr. Jane Goodall" about a young environmentalist interested in animal preservation. In this clip, however, the two stars have been shrunken down in their sci-fi transport ship and are discovered by several startlingly violent ants. The CGI work is amazing, further blurring the boundaries of reality as far as the psyche is concerned.
Hey, real quick: see what you think of Comic Book Review’s rundown of ten of the smallest comics characters. I hadn’t heard of some of these, so that was fun.
Miniature Textiles
Lastly, we’ll wrap this missive up with some skillfully wrought miniature (and micro-mini) sweaters, the handiwork of Althea Crome. Read the article about her work on Messy Nessy, and then visit Althea’s website and gallery directly. See? For all the hype and hyperbole of homebrewed porn stars wanting to stomp and eat Tinies, there’s still evidence of very kind, caring Normies out there waiting to take care of us.
There you go, a not unreasonable installment of a completely free newsletter centered on one weirdo’s rarefied interests. I’ll cough up another edition whenever there’s enough material to do so, make sure everyone’s getting their money’s worth.
