Kommunity GTS
This is a short issue, more of a request.
I’ve done a lot of complaining about community: what I wanted it to look like, the functions it actually performs, and my repeated rejection of it. I re-created one of my earliest websites, meant to archive my stories, and I found the description that stated I did so because I didn’t belong in some other forum.
I’m embarrassed by this perpetual state of being aggrieved. I’d like to break that mindset and turn things around. The fact is, I had a community all along: the people who never stopped reading me, despite my meltdowns and existential crises. That’s who I’d like to focus on and honor, going forward.
If you’ve read any of my work—my blog, my books, my social media, or … or this place!—please take a minute or two to fill out this survey. Share your thoughts with me, ask me anything. I’m in a transition period, trying to figure out what deserves more energy and what may be lovingly laid to rest.
