Headlines for 1992

In January Yugoslavia started breaking up, with Slovenia and Croatia gaining independence as the former Soviet Bloc continued to fall apart. Serbia and Montenegro would be formed later in the year.

Later in the month the US and Russia announced that they wouldn’t specifically target each other’s mass population centers with nuclear weapons. We always like to celebrate even small victories along the path to not blowing each other up!
