February 2025 Newsletter

Baseball is just around the corner!
It’s been forever since I have sent out a newsletter, and I’m going to try to do better this year. I quit Corporate America in December, and I have entered semi-retirement – I’m only working on fun things from here on out.
Let’s play a little bit of catch-up:
2024 Highlights
Scorebook sales went a bit bonkers last year – 18% increase in sales from my best year ever. Thanks to all of you spreading the word, it absolutely helped.
Navy was the surprise #1 cover color last year. Orange (my guess for the top spot), red and green were all tied for second.
I had my first ever 7-2 DP Scorebook meetup in July. My brothers came with me for a mini-baseball trip to Milwaukee and Chicago to celebrate my [OLD] birthday, and I met up with Noah before the Brewers game. (LET’S DO MORE MEETUPS! I’ll be hitting a lot more games this year, including Spring Training from March 4-11 in Florida.)

Scorebooks in the wild
I ask for pics in every note, and y’all delivered some good ones. Ballpark photos are my favorite – keep ‘em coming.

The Rally Towel Promotion
The Rally Towel is an email newsletter devoted to the New York Mets, and this week is his Scorecard Week. He's profiling a bunch of scorebook creators and talking all things scoring.
Yours truly got the leadoff spot, and I came up with something fun. Guess the famous Mets plays listed on their Instagram post, follow the submission instructions, and get a chance to win a Square Scorebook!
Scratch & Dent Scorebooks
I have a ton of miscellaneous pages sitting around here that can assembled into perfectly functional books. Some pages are “orphans” from books that got goofed somehow; some pages are from an old box of inside pages I found in my garage this fall.
So I’m offering “Frankenstein” books that are perfectly functional at a drastic discount. Probably not great for gifts, but ideal for all you tabletoppers out there who just need something down and dirty. And ideal for helping me clean out my office closet.
It’s a hidden item on my store, and I’m giving y’all first dibs.
It’s going to be a great season. Hopefully I’ll see a few of you on the road this year. As always, best of luck to your favorite team. GO TIGERS!
