31 Days of Halloween: October 30
Good evening, friends,
Just one sleep til Halloween! Are you ready?
🎃
The website Centuries of Sound is “an attempt to produce an audio mix for every year of recorded sound”, beginning with 1860. They’re created a super fun mix of tracks from Halloween records of the 1950s, and you can listen to it (and check out the track list) here.
👻
I love this video of puppeteers rehearsing for the NYC Halloween parade. Be sure to watch with sound on. (Thanks Monte!)

Still looking for some spooky movies? Here’s Letterboxd’s list of “100 Highest-Rated Underseen Horror Films”.

A funny post:
By the way, this also means our time together is drawing to a close. I’ll send one email tomorrow and then a final one the next day (on October 31+1, of course).
I probably say this every year (which means this is round 10 of feeling this way), but I always wish that I could have done more, shared more, written more… I always try my best, even though it’s been a bit of a quiet year, Halloween-wise (I mean, remember the year of the menacing clowns?!) but I hope everyone’s feeling the chilly embrace of the Pumpkin King nonetheless. It’s been a real pleasure writing this all month, and I’m certainly in the mood — and am ready and excited for the big day! 🎃
Til tomorrow,
Laura
