Good evening, creepies and crawlies,

Really enjoyed the new stop-motion Shaun the Sheep movie (available for rent online), The Beast of Mossy Bottom.

Seeing this art, I started wondering about the phrase “bats in the belfry” - does anyone still say that? Anyhow, here’s an interesting blog about the etymology of the phrase. This image would have been right around the time it was taking off!

We carved pumpkins tonight and roasted the seeds. My October/Halloween bingo card is getting pretty full.

(Are there any things on your list for the month that you still have yet to do? Help me fill in my to-dos by hitting reply and letting me know what you’ve got planned!)

Til tomorrow,
Laura
