31 Days of Halloween: October 12
Good evening, Halloweenies,
A lovely sunny day in Portland today! We went to look at “Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail”, a collaboration with local stop-motion animation studio Laika and 31 local artists and illustrators. The statues have been placed all around the city for the last few weeks, but for this final weekend, they’re all in Director Park downtown.

👻
The Monster Talk podcast, a “science show about monsters”, is doing a bunch of vampire episodes for October. They’ve kicked it off with two episodes that I’m looking forward to listening to: a history of vampires in folklore and literature and the story of Arnold Paole, a ‘historical vampire’ from the early 1700s.

Til tomorrow,
Laura
