Hi there - you’re getting this email because there are just 7 days left until the submission window closes for 1Picture1000Words: the writing contest where you write 1,000 words about a picture. The deadline is next Monday, August 31st, at midnight EDT.

Hundreds of you have already submitted - that’s great. And if that’s you, ignore this email :)

But the majority of you haven’t written; remember, you still have a week!

Here is a quick rules recap:

1. Your story must be exactly 1,000 words according to a common word processor - Word/Docs/Pages/etc.

2. You must email the full text (as the email body) to [email protected]. Your subject line must be ‘1Picture1000Words Entry’. No attachments.

3. Your story must relate in some way to the photo on our website.

Our best advice for winning is that you should be creative.
