7. Glowing Hot: The US is trying to buy a win with sanctions relief and reconstruction cash. This “deal” is less foreign policy, more $300 billion peace layaway plan. Sanctions lifted, oil exports back, frozen funds thawed, reconstruction fund opened, if Iran behaves on nukes and the Strait.

8. Blazing: Trump’s war-first, deal-second strategy is backfiring in real time. You cannot bomb a country into a negotiation it publicly denies exists. Weeks of strikes, a dead ceasefire, no public concessions, and Tehran still insists Washington is just talking to its own reflection.

9. Nuclear: Trump is using phantom diplomacy to stretch an unwinnable war. “Talks” are the narrative cover for a conflict with no clear exit ramp. As long as he can claim progress, he postpones admitting that neither maximum pressure nor vague MoUs have forced Iran to fold.

10. Event Horizon: The US and Iran are not negotiating, they are scripting rival realities. This is post-truth foreign policy where both sides weaponize the idea of talks. Trump posts breakthroughs, Iran calls them fake, intermediaries shuttle messages, and the real policy is made in the gap between what is happening and what each side insists is happening.
